Updated: May 26, 2021

On Tuesday, May 18, Manifest Climate team members, Alisa Kinkaid and Pete Richardson, along with EcoAdvisors' Hari Balasubramanian discussed the impact that climate stewardship has on corporate governance, and how that plays into customer retention, compensation and career development.

Corporate governance has a long and storied history. In this webinar, they:

  • traced the roots of climate governance and the emergence of climate competence as a pillar of corporate decision-making;

  • explored financial materiality, reputational benefits, license to operate and the role of activist shareholders;

  • discussed the increasing use of good climate stewardship as a metric for executive compensation; and,

  • spoke to the climate skills that should already be in the toolkit of every business professional.
